Commissioning Friends of
Paul Taylor
The Commissioning Friends contribute to the creation of a new
work by Mr. Taylor. With $400,000 required to make each new dance, the
Commissioning Friends have a special opportunity to support the
creative process of one of America's greatest cultural icons. Initiated
in 2005, the Commissioning Friends program has thus far underwritten,
in part, Banquet of Vultures, Troilus and Cressida
(reduced) and Lines of Loss.
Giving opportunities begin at $1,500. As a thank you, your name will be
published in a special section of Playbill during the annual
New York City Center season. Additionally, in exchange for a contribution
of $2,500 or more, you will be invited to a special preview of a new work
followed by dinner with Mr. Taylor and the dancers. For a gift of $25,000
or more your name will be included on the work's title page in the stagebill
whenever it is performed, in perpetuity.
